You don’t have to limit your cardio to a treadmill or an exercise bike. Zumba is one of the more effective cardio routines, because of the pace and types of exercises involved. It’s also a lot of fun.
If you want to give Zumba a try, but you’re not ready to commit to a full class, here’s a Zumba workout list you can try at home.
Zumba Workout Tips
You Don’t Need To Be Perfect
The goal is to move, sweat, and get your heart pumping through dance aerobics. The goal isn’t to be perfect, or complete a flawless dance routine. The less pressure you put on yourself, the less self-conscious you’ll feel and the more you’ll enjoy Zumba.
It Takes A Few Sessions
While most people have fun on the first go, it does take two or three sessions before you start to feel comfortable. So if you feel a little awkward, or like you’re lagging the pace on your first few sessions it’s completely normal.
After a few rounds of Zumba you’ll feel like a pro.
What To Wear
There’s a lot of lateral movements in Zumba, so you’ll want to wear clothes that don’t restrict these movements. While you don’t need special shoes, cross trainer shoes have worked well with the included exercises and movements.
