Shoulder Workout At Home – Exercises You Need To Do
You don’t need a bunch of fancy equipment, or waste time getting to and from a gym, to get a good shoulder workout. All you need is a pair of dumbbells and a little elbow room.
Shoulder Workout Tips
Protect Your Joints
Because your shoulders are involved, to some degree, in most upper body exercises they’re easy to over train resulting in injury. You don’t need a ton of weight to get a good shoulder workout, you just need to focus on form and moving the weight from the proper angle.
Train Shoulder Heads Equally
A well developed shoulder results in an attractive, and well-rounded, development. Unfortunately, most people will tend to focus on the most visible (front and side) muscle heads and neglect the rear deltoids.
This can result in a soft (and squishy) rear deltoid due to a lack of direct work. You don’t want any of the muscle heads to be more prominent than the others, so train all muscle heads with equal enthusiasm.
Training all three heads equally can also reduce the risk of inflammation and rotator cuff injuries, due to instability.
Here’s a quick list of exercises you can do at home, and four of the best at home workouts for shoulders.
