While it’s nearly impossible to duplicate the intensity of real military training, you can better condition your body to prepare for some expected exercises. So if you just want to train like a soldier, or you’re actually getting ready for boot camp, here’s a military workout for basic training you should definitely try.
What To Expect From A Military Workout
Most people will associate strength training with barbells, a gym, and lots of weights. While military workouts mainly focus on exercises without the use of weights, it doesn’t make them less effective. Using just your body weight is enough to get you into the best shape of your life.
It also makes these types of workouts quick and efficient, allowing you to get a thorough workout with limited space and equipment.
Strength without muscular endurance will prove challenging. You can be the strongest guy in the world, but if you can’t sustain that strength over long periods of time you’re going to struggle.
Whether you’re talking about sit-ups, push-ups, or a two mile run, trying to improve muscular endurance should be a primary focus.
