Nothing will motivate you more than seeing the results others have already achieved. While keto is definitely not a casual diet, the results are attainable by anyone and everyone who follows the ketogenic diet guidelines.
If you only want to lose 2-3 pounds, you don’t need to keto. If you have 20+ pounds to lose, or you just want to get superhero ripped, Keto is one of the best diets to accomplish those goals.
It’s all about ketosis. This is where your body doesn’t have enough of its primary energy source (carbs) and starts breaking down body fat for energy. And for most people, this happens as long as you don’t eat more than 20-30 grams of carbs per day.
While the ketogenic diet falls under the category of a low carb variant, it’s NOT a high protein diet. This is the main difference between something like Atkins and Keto. The primary calorie source on Atkins is protein, and the primary calorie source on Keto is fat.

The pics that started it all. 2 years ago I got married and then had our reception the following week. The pics from those events forced me to take a look at a few areas of my life which I had been neglecting. Weight is obviously one of them. Transformation Tuesday . . Guys I have yo-yo dieted for years and years. So don’t feel alone if that’s been the case for you. I can honestly say that Keto has helped me control my eating more than anything else I’ve ever tried. . . Do I mess up? Yes, I do. The carb addiction is real 😩. I would love to say that I’m strong enough to avoid carbs 💯, but that’s not always the case 😏. . . I will say that I’ve work hard every single day to obtain these results. It’s been a 10+ year journey for me, so don’t think that these results happened in 1 year, they didn’t. . . These results are due to hundreds of hours in the gym 💪🏻, countless days of extremely strict dieting (when I first started my journey), falling off and getting back on track, disappointments and extreme happiness. I tried every imaginable diet, from going raw vegan to carnivore diet and everything in between. Crazy, right? Well that’s what It took and finally Keto! Yaaasss! Keto is my lifestyle. It’s not a diet. Keto has given me freedom and a piece of mind. Don’t get me wrong, I still mess up here and there, but I know where home is now and I can’t see myself leaving. Ever since high school I’ve been overweight. I’ve gone from fat to fatter and eventually what was my fattest. I’m an emotional eater and with all the peaks and valleys my life had over the years I ate myself into a hole that I couldn’t escape. I had a terrible self image and when I felt sorry for myself I would snack to feel better. I’d eat to celebrate and eat when I was sad. Once my baby boy got here I had to take control of my health. I want lots of years of playing ball in the yard and later hunting in physically demanding situations with my son. I’m extremely fortunate to have a team of very close friends who have made fitness a lifestyle including: @getstarked89 @mr_stark_ironman and @kylagavlinrd. These 3 annoying gym selfie taking motherfuckers pointed me in the right direction, #keto! I’m proud to say I’m 60+ pounds down with 40 more to go! Thanks guys, I couldn’t have done it without ya. It’s the perfect diet for me. I can still eat when I’m happy or sad but Instead of zebra cakes I eat bacon or eggs or cheese. ✨Transformation Tuesday ✨ _ I’ve been struggling with my weight on and off for my entire life. I could never understand why I felt bloated – like you could pop my balloon 🎈 belly with a pin.. and sluggish after eating my favorite food- PASTA 🍝, well to be exact- macaroni and cheese or any pasta noodle with butter and cheese 🧀🤤 _ It only took me 32 years of trying every diet and exercise in the book to truly understand what lifestyle works for me… Keto 🙌🏻 _ Feeling incredible after a meal is new to me, especially when it’s a big bowl of cauliflower Mac&Cheese, or a bunless burger topped with bacon avocado and some steamy hot cheese sauce 🍔⚡️🔥 _ I am so happy to continue this journey, and I hope this account is as much of an accountability page for me than it is an encouragement page for our Keto community of followers and friends ❤️ .
