Phase 3 of the Atkins diet is the last stage where you’re actually trying to lose weight. Before moving on to long term maintenance (phase 4), you still have about ten pounds left before you reach your weight loss goal.
Phase 3 includes reintroduction of common fruits, whole grains, and will help you identify and establish your long term carb tolerance levels.

All of the food from phase 1 & phase 2 are allowed in phase 3.
What’s New In Phase 3
It’s likely been months since you’ve had a good apple. Well, the wait is over because phase 3 allows a more liberal selection of fruit.
Moving on to phase 3 means you’ve likely experienced considerable weight loss and you’re ready to transition to a longer term meal plan.
This includes the reintroduction of common, and naturally sweet, fruits. You’ll also get to increase your carb total from whole grains and some higher carb vegetables.
